The AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand) is the First Infrastructure Region in Thailand and the Fourteenth Region in Asia Pacific, Joining Regions in Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Jakarta, Malaysia, Melbourne, Mumbai, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo , as well as the regions of Beijing and Ningxia China.

The adoption of cloud computing was a meaningful dynamics in Thailand, led by developing business needs and government initiatives such as Thailand 4.0. Growing presence of AWS in Thailand
Our journey in Thailand began in 2013 with the first AWS office in Bangkok. Since then, AWS has been constantly expanding its infrastructure and land services:
Amazon cloudfront – Since 2020, AWS founded six Amazon Cloudfront Edge places in Thailand. These edges are part of the highly secure and programmable AWS content network (CDN), which is designed to speed up the delivery of data, videos, applications and APIs worldwide with low latency and high transfer speed.
AWS bases – In the same year, 2020, AWS introduced AWS bases on the Thai market. As a fully managed solution, AWS bases AWS infrastructure and services bases to virtually any place in place or edge, allowing a truly complex hybrid experience. This service is particularly valuable for workload that requires low latency, local data processing or local data storage.
AWS local zones – In 2022 AWS strengthened its obligation to Thailand by launching local AWS areas in Bangkok. This deployment infrastructure places calculation, storage, database and other selected services closer to the large population, industry and IT centers. As a result, customers can deliver applications requiring end -digits of one -digit milliseconds.
AWS Direct Connect – AWS founded a lease of AWS Direct Connect in Bangkok in 2023 to increase the connection options and add a new AWS Direct Connect lease with the launch of AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand). Customers can use the AWS Direct Connect to create secure and dedicated network connections to their AWS resources, provide improved network performance and reduced bandwidth costs.
